I live on the western slope of Colorado with my two dogs. When I'm not writing or advising, I’m outside ⛷️🧗🥾👨🌾⛺

I like volunteering in my communities and everywhere I’ve lived I’ve been involved in the local land trust. As a board member with the Friends of Hellhole Canyon, I helped lead a campaign to acquire and protect 500 adjacent acres to the 2000+ acre wildlife corridor. I believe that conserving land is the highest leverage activity we can do today to protect future habitats.

My partner and I built an apartment together, and it really stretched my DIY muscles in a way that was challenging and rewarding. We built this! And surprisingly, I didn’t cut any corners like I do when I’m repainting a free dresser from thrift.

I am currently learning how to slow down and enjoy the gentle, peaceful, restful moments I have with my 13-year old Catahoula, Moose. He’s been with me through three states, five houses, relationships, and thousands of miles of hiking together to get through it all.
